Once upon a time...
There were two people who loved sun and rain on their faces, black dirt on their hands and REAL food in their tummies.
So they started a small farm from scratch in Greene County, Indiana.
But not just any farm...This one never, ever, uses pesticides or other harmful chemicals.
Ever.
But it does have nine adorable chickens and one very protective --- and not so hugable -- rooster that roams the property (and even the neighbor's sometimes) looking for bugs and worms to eat and even tasty plants.
About the plants: These include kale, spinach, Asian greens, parsley, oregano and even potatoes, tomatoes and onions.
There are also trees, such as apple, pear, plum, fig, almond, redbud and hazelnut as well as bushes like blueberry, raspberry and blackberry.
And when the weather changes, they grow things indoors: banana, lemon and lime trees and even aloe vera.
